It started simply. Organizations were asking for grant help. And the need was everywhere — but it didn't all look the same.

Some organizations weren't ready to submit yet, but with the right guidance, they could be. Some were absolutely ready, but missing the right partners. Some just needed to wait — because the right funding opportunity was a month away and a perfect fit.

No single person could meet all of that. But a community could.

Neighbors of KAUSE was built on that belief. Behind NoK is a growing network of consultants, grant writers, strategists, and sector experts — neighbors who showed up because they believe in the same thing. That when nonprofits, consultants, and partners come together around a shared cause, the communities they serve are the ones who win most.

We started in the DMV, rooted in the work — grant writing, business proposals, partnership building, project management. We've seen firsthand how access to the right knowledge and the right connections creates real momentum for organizations doing important work with limited resources.

NoK exists to make that access the rule, not the exception.

Not by doing everything. By building the infrastructure so more gets done, by more people, together.
